I’ve been using an HDFC BANK credit card and recently made a gold purchase worth 29300/- INR. I intended to convert this amount into EMI, but the bank has informed me that it’s not feasible due to the nature of the purchase being gold. Prior to making this purchase, I contacted HDFC BANK’s customer care seeking clarification on the possibility of converting the gold purchase into EMI. They assured me that I could make the purchase and later convert it into EMI by contacting them again. However, upon doing so, I’ve been informed that HDFC BANK doesn’t offer EMI facilities for gold purchases. This contradiction has left me in a perplexing situation as I don’t have the full amount to pay upfront; I intended to pay in installments as agreed upon.

I kindly request your assistance as I haven’t found support elsewhere. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated.
